## 1. Internship Content and Reflections I participated in an internship with **Hejun Consulting Co., Ltd.** starting in February of this year, conducted online due to the impact of the pandemic. Despite the remote setting, the experience was highly rewarding and educational. The internship was structured into three distinct phases: preliminary training, segment analysis within the catering industry, and research on leading enterprises. ### Phase 1: Preliminary Training This initial phase lasted approximately one month. During this period, I acquired a comprehensive understanding of Hejun Consulting’s background, core business activities, corporate philosophy, and the broader consulting industry. I became particularly inspired by the company’s culture, notably its core values such as “life as a lotus” and the "threefold cultivation" concept. These insights deeply resonated with me, inspiring both professional and personal growth. I engaged extensively with industry research reports and IPO prospectuses, significantly enhancing my reading efficiency and ability to distill key information. Specifically, I completed readings of **over 20 industry reports**, **15 detailed company analyses**, and **15 IPO prospectuses**, consistently achieving high scores in periodic assessments, allowing me to progress to subsequent phases. Additionally, this phase included professional lectures from industry experts. Taking comprehensive notes, I was able to build a robust knowledge framework, greatly improving my analytical abilities and overall understanding of the consulting field. ### Phase 2: Segment Analysis – Noodle Chain Industry Our team was tasked with analyzing the noodle chain sector within the broader restaurant industry, culminating in a PowerPoint presentation within a tight one-week deadline. The task involved extensive research, data collection, and rigorous screening. Leveraging multiple search engines, I identified and compiled relevant information using targeted keywords and managed both content creation and slide design for my assigned segments. Our team successfully delivered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on the noodle chain industry. ### Challenge and Response Midway through the internship, our original team leader unexpectedly left due to personal reasons. To address this challenge proactively, we promptly communicated with the internship coordinator. Subsequently, I assumed the role of the new team leader, actively coordinating group collaboration, managing responsibilities, and integrating new members into our workflow effectively. My initiative ensured that our team maintained momentum and cohesiveness despite the unexpected shift in leadership. ### Phase 3: Analysis of Leading Enterprises In the final three weeks, we undertook a detailed comparative analysis of **five leading enterprises** in the noodle sector, culminating in another comprehensive presentation. With my new responsibilities as team leader, I facilitated clear communication, guided collaborative efforts, and ensured timely completion of all deliverables. Our team's effective collaboration resulted in a thorough and insightful analysis, well-received in our final presentation. ## 2. Overall Reflections Throughout the internship, I engaged in internal training, industry research, data collection, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and delivered impactful final presentations. This structured experience allowed me to systematically explore the Chinese catering industry's structure and trends, especially within the noodle chain segment. The internship substantially enhanced my skills in information sourcing, critical analysis, logical thinking, PPT creation, professional writing, and oral presentations. Additionally, it improved my leadership abilities, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. This comprehensive experience significantly increased my professional competence and literacy, providing a solid foundation for my future career aspirations.
